5Baby Bertha is a very good model rocket to learn on...  Jul 23, 2010
The 8 year old princess took 3 nights (not consecutively) to complete this rocket.
This is a very good, solid, foundation rocket project, teaching cutting out of the balsa fins, sanding, gluing, painting etc.
She got a blue ribbon at the fair with it as her first "hand built" rocket.

I've built ~20 rockets (many years ago) and this is one of the best overall kits...

I really wanted to add white pin stripes, and more detail, but was over ruled by the chicks in the house...

Big fun... A good kit!

5Another fun Estes rocket  Jun 20, 2010
This Baby Bertha rocket was easy to build, and launched to perfection on launch day. There's nothing really extra special about it to differentiate from the other rockets we have, but Estes really knows how to build rockets.

5Very Fun and Simple  Jun 14, 2008
This is a very easy rocket to build. I finished it in 1 hour. The fins are easy to put on because there are four of them, which makes aligning them easier. The sticker can be put on with out the black paint and will still show through because the tube is brown. I have yet to launch it.

5easy to build  Jul 13, 2007
my son and i had a great time putting this rocket together. we did not follow the color scheme at all and painted the whole thing red. at the hands of a five year old, i don't think this rocket will last too long but it was a fun and educational experience to put this rocket together... we just need to launch it and launch it soon

5This is a FUN little rocket!  May 03, 2007
I love this one! The kit is really easy to assemble. This is durable too. I had a chute fail to open on this one and it landed hard without any damage! It flies perfectly every time. The only room for improvement is the option of installing a larger engine for higher altitude. Other than that, it's great.
